Together for Tyrol – 70 Years of Cancer Aid & 25 Years of Cancer Research at TKFI

Among the many important tasks we undertook this year, organizing a charity event on June 25 in the Stiftssaal at the Stiftskeller Innsbruck was especially meaningful. With this event, we aimed to draw attention to two very special milestones: 70 years of Krebshilfe Tirol and 25 years of TKFI. The evening not only allowed us to raise valuable donations, but also offered the opportunity to honor em. o. Univ.-Prof. Dr. med. Dr. h. c. Raimund Margreiter for his decades of visionary work and his formative role in shaping both Krebshilfe Tirol and TKFI, which he co-founded.

The guests thanked Prof. Margreiter with a standing ovation – a fitting recognition of his life’s work, which has had a lasting impact on the history of medicine and research in Tyrol. A more detailed article is available via the following link on MeinBezirk.at.

Hofrat Hubert Kuprian, a co-founder of TKFI who was unfortunately unable to attend the event, was also honored by TKFI a few days later.

In addition, a long-standing and committed employee of TKFI was recognized: Erika Lentner, who has been with the institute for 25 years, was honored for her loyalty, reliability, and invaluable support.

We at TKFI would also like to express our sincere thanks to Hannes Reichelt, brand ambassador of the institute, for his strong commitment. Florian Klotz, Managing Director of Krebshilfe Tirol, also deserves special thanks for the excellent collaboration in organizing the event.

Of course, we extend our heartfelt thanks to all honorary guests, participants, sponsors, and donors. It is only thanks to your continued support that we have been able to reach these milestones.

We look forward to continuing our joint efforts in the fight against cancer and to further advancing this vital mission.
