Practical Course on Oncogenic Signal Transduction
We were pleased to host a two-week practical course for students of the Biomedical Life Sciences Master’s program at the University of Innsbruck as part of the Oncogenic Signal Transduction course at TKFI. The participants worked on the Myc-Max complex, a central oncogenic protein complex and important cancer driver. They investigated specific cancer-related mutations to understand their impact on signal transduction and applied fundamental molecular biology techniques such as cloning, protein expression, purification, and protein complex analysis. In addition, the students discussed disease-relevant proteins and potential therapeutic approaches in short presentations.
