Where Art Meets Science at the TKFI

We would like to gratefully thank artist Sarah Berndlbauer for creating a wonderful artwork at the TKFI. On a charitable basis she decorated the entrance area and hallway of the TKFI with cancer cells seamlessly blending into well-known Tyrolean mountain ranges.

Additionally, a painting has been added. Also created and generously donated for the good cause by Sarah, it was won at the TKFI charity event 2025 in the tombola by Assoz. Prof. Brigitte Kircher, group leader at the TKFI, and subsequently donated to the institute. The artwork carries the signatures of Tyrolean mountaineers Wolfgang Nairz and Peter Habeler.

The final result creates a wonderful atmosphere for our Tyrolean cancer research projects. For this we would again like to thank Sarah Berndlbauer and highly recommend her Tyrolean business:
